SSASIM input table EARNPCT

Contains specification of age-varying annual covered earnings for individual measured relative to the national average wage index (AWI).

SSASIM:   EARNPCT . id
Identifies a set of age-specific relative covered earnings percentages. Because relative earnings can vary by age, there may be more than one row with same id value.

Valid values: 1 to 999999999 (nine digits), Integer

SSASIM:   EARNPCT . age
Specifies age to which relative annual covered earnings specified on this row applies. A table row for age min_earn_age=16 must always be specified for each id value.

SSASIM:   EARNPCT . earn_pct
Specifies individual annual covered earnings as a percent of the national average wage index (AWI). Earnings percents for ages without table rows are calculated by linear interpolation between percents for the two surrounding ages, while rates for ages greater than largest specified age are calculated by extrapolation. An earnings percent for min_earn_age=16 must always be specified for each id value. So, for example, to represent always earning forty-five percent of the AWI, specify one row with age 16 and earn_pct 45. Or, if the individual is the OCACT average "steady" earner who began work at age 21, then specify three rows: one for age 16 with earn_pct=0, another for age 20 with earn_pct=0, and a third for age 21 with earn_pct=100. NOTE: there is no need to make the earn_pct be zero for ages following disability, retirement, or death, because the model does that automatically.
