PENSIM output file .CST

--- .CST file contains aggregate employer cost of plan sponsorship.

The PENSIM runNNNNN.cst file has no heading lines and no summary 
lines.  The file contains present value of employer pension costs
by scenario and plan kind/type for a birth cohort sample.

The employer cost and earnings are tabulated only for pension
plans for which individual is eligible at some time during job
tenure and that are not frozen before start of the job.

The statistics on each line are separated by the tab character.
The logical structure of a line is as follows:

(1) scenario number
(2) plan kind/type: KKTT values are as follows:
                    DBCE = defined-benefit career-earnings plans
                    DBCA = defined-benefit cash-account plans
                    DBDA = defined-benefit dollar-amount plans
                    DBTE = defined-benefit terminal-earnings plans
                    DCMP = defined-contribution money-purchase plans
                    DCPS = defined-contribution profit-sharing plans
                    DCST = defined-contribution savings-thrift plans
                    DCST-ZM = zero-matching DC savings-thrift plans 
                    DCAI = defined-contribution automatic-IRA plans
(3) present value of employer pension cost (in billions of dollars)
      with present value expressed in year the cohort turns 65 and
      calculated using nominal annual costs weighted by sample_pct
      and nominal Treasury interest rates plus OUTPUT.cst_spread
      as the discount rate in each year
(4) ratio of (3) and (5) expressed as a percent
(5) present value of employee earnings (in billions of dollars)
      with present value expressed in year the cohort turns 65 and
      calculated using nominal annual costs weighted by sample_pct
      and nominal Treasury interest rates plus OUTPUT.cst_spread
      as the discount rate in each year
(6) number of jobs included in present value of employees earnings
      statistic (5), which includes only jobs on which the employee
      was eligible for the pension at some time during the job tenure

NOTE: statistics (3), (5), and (6) are calculated for eligible
      jobs specified by the values of table fields OUTPUT.cst_prvt
      and OUTPUT.cst_govt
